About The Wine

“One of my favorite wineries, Beau Vigne’s Vineyard, sits at a high elevation in the southern Napa Valley, back Soda Canyon Road, overlooking the Pritchard Hill Gap as well as the Stagecoach Vineyard. The AVA for these wines is Atlas Peak, and the soils are all of volcanic origin. This winery is currently on a qualitative roll.” ~Robert Parker

A true expression of CULT Cabernet Sauvignon and all it is intended to be. First released in 2008, and is culled solely from barrels selected with complex aromatics, voluptuous texture, and purity as well as depth. This is a pure expression of climate and soil with winemaker Julien Fayard nurturing its creation.

Renowned winemaker Julien Fayard uses his expertise to produce wines that express pure, terroir-driven specificities and characteristics. Julien gained his knowledge and defined his core winemaking style from working at grand Chateaux in France, such as Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte.

Beau Vigne flies under the radar as a “hidden gem” and small boutique winery producing only a few thousand cases a year. Fans and critics alike flock to the winery for its outstanding wines and genuine hospitality, including famed critic Robert Parker who refers to Beau Vigne as “one of my favorite wineries.”

Beau Vigne’s wines are highly esteemed and cherished among some of the world’s most important winemakers, and they have achieved numerous high accolades. Today, they are considered among Napa Valley’s most acclaimed wines.

The 2023 vintage hits different – and now we know why. This was the year that changed everything. It's incredibly delicious right out of the gate, but here's the kicker – it's only going to get better with time, and it's coming from what experts are calling "a once-in-a-lifetime" growing season. This is the kind of wine that makes you want to buy a case just so you can experience its evolution and tell people you own bottles from the vintage that redefined Napa Valley. Some bottles for tonight, some for next year, some for that special celebration you haven't even planned yet – because this is the vintage people will be talking about for decades.

Deep purple color. Aromas and flavors of dark berry-peach pie crust, honeycomb candle, and roasted nuts with a satiny, bright, dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a warming, interesting, long finish manifesting notes of cocoa-dusted craisins and figs, sweet and peppery spices, blackberry jam, and brown sugar with well-integrated, chewy tannins and moderate oak flavor. A plush, dense-packed Napa Cabernet with lots to offer now and will be even better with a little cellaring.

CRITIC REVIEWS

What the Critics Said

Winemaker Julian Fayard created this milestone bottling from the Beau Vigne collection, a distinctively luxurious Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of vanilla, cedar, dark chocolate, blueberries, and a hint of clove engage with firm tannins. Dried lavender wraps around the palate, soaked in Worcestershire and black tea, which anchors to the lengthy finish. ~98 Tasting Panel Magazine

~96 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Cult is the flagship wine in Beau Vigne’s elevated series, distinguished by its silkscreened gold ink. The 2023 vintage is expressive and full-bodied, with a bold, rich mouthfeel that blends satin and silk textures within a spectrum of black and blue fruit. Fragrant violets are laced throughout, supported by supple tannins and accents of milk chocolate, dried sage, and sweet oak spice. Crafted by Julien Fayard. ~ 95 Decanter

The Beau Vigne Cabernet Sauvignon Cult is the finest wine I have tasted from Beau Vigne. Rich, layered and expressive, it has a lot to offer. Black cherry, licorice, lavender, spice and espresso build in the glass. A rich, luscious Cabernet that also avoids being overly heavy. ~93 Jeb Dunnuck
