About the Wine

Torre Zambra dates back to 1910, making it one of the oldest wineries in the region of Abruzzo. It all started when Vincenzo Cerchio bought a slice of gorgeous Abruzzo land crowned by a tower—hence the name, Torre Zambra. He planted Montepulciano and Trebbiano vines, dreaming of making wines that would turn heads and warm hearts. Then World War II threw a wrench in the plans, wiping out those early vineyards. But the Cerchio family? They shrugged it off, replanted, and by 1961, they bottled their first official label.

Today, Federico De Cerchio—the fourth generation—carries the torch, blending old-school passion with modern savvy. The family farms organically, letting nature do its magic with spontaneous fermentation, which basically means the native yeasts handle the job, giving the wine its unique, lively personality.

The ‘Incastro Rosa’ itself is a vibrant party in a bottle—50% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese, and 20% Primitivo all coming together like an all-star team.
