The Gianulias family is originally from Greece, but they have been in Napa Valley for almost 100 years. The Greek toast "Levendi" acknowledges a hard day's labor and achievement. Essentially, it's a toast "to celebrate life." Celebrated winemaker Alison Doran has been making wine for more than 30 years. She studied with and was mentored by renowned expert Andre Tchelistcheff. This was originally a wine club only release, but we scored a limited number of bottles at a steep 30% off discount.

About the Wine
The Levendi wines are wrapped in an ultra-luxury, silk-screened bottle that is a piece of artwork in and of itself. The wine screams mountain fruit in that it is dense, dark, and tannic. Layers of intrigue abound here. The blueberry fruit, mocha, dark chocolate allure and the Mediterranean herbs and vanilla oak are seamless. The wine is great now and it has at least 10 years to develop further.
