Meet Emily’s—this isn’t just another Napa Cab. It’s bold, it’s rich, and it’s got a story that makes every sip even better. Named after the legendary Emily Miner, this wine is all about celebrating a powerhouse of a woman with a powerhouse of a wine.
Let’s talk about Miner Family Winery. Founded by Dave Miner, who traded software for Sauvignon, this place is all about passion, precision, and pushing boundaries. The wines age deep in underground caves (yes, actual caves), creating the perfect conditions for pure magic.
After 25 years at Miner Family Winery, Gary Brookman—formerly of Joseph Phelps—retires, leaving behind a lasting legacy of excellence.
Stepping up is Michelle Shafrir, whose background in chemistry and environmental studies brings precision to her craft. With experience at Hall, Martinelli, Castello di Amorosa, Arista, and Cuvaison, she honed her skills across Napa and Sonoma before joining Miner in 2017. Now leading the winemaking team, she continues to shape Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, carrying Miner’s tradition forward with expertise and vision.
The hype is real. Miner Family Winery was named one of Bon Appétit’s 'Top Five' All-American Wines in 2004 and has been recognized as a 'Top 100 Winery of the Year' by Wine & Spirits Magazine. Their flagship blend, The Oracle, has turned heads and palates alike, cementing their status as Napa royalty.
But here’s the best part—Emily’s isn’t just about what’s in the bottle. A portion of every sale goes to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, keeping Emily’s fight alive and making every glass poured a step toward something bigger. This is more than just wine—it’s a mission in a bottle.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab a bottle, pour a glass, and experience Emily’s Cabernet for yourself. Big, bold, and full of heart—just like Emily.
2019 was a fabulous year for Napa Valley. Wine Spectator awarded this year a 97-point score, and Vinous Media gave it 96 points saying that "The 2019 Napa Valley Cabernets have turned out beautifully. 2019 is a very high-quality vintage of Cabernets that will be easy to drink and enjoy with minimal cellaring. The extra kick of late heat softened the tannins, making the wines a pleasure to taste and drink."
96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc. Dark, rich, and deeply expressive, Emily’s Cabernet Sauvignon delivers layers of blackberries, ripe plum, and cassis, wrapped in notes of espresso, dark chocolate, and a hint of toasted oak. Silky yet powerful, with a smooth finish that lingers just long enough to keep you coming back for more.
