Without question, this is the finest "regular" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ever crafted by Ruston Family Vineyards. But make no mistake—there is nothing "regular" about it.

This is a serious wine, rich and mouth-coating, yet exquisitely balanced. It harks back to the legendary Napa Cabs of 1994 and 1995, where fruit-driven opulence met the restraint and structure of traditional Bordeaux and 1970s Napa Valley. For those who yearn for the golden era of Napa, this wine serves as a time machine in a bottle.

Ruston Family Vineyards has been farming the west St. Helena hills since 1941. What started as a prune orchard, transformed into a small but mighty vineyard, producing wines that reflect the rugged terrain, complex soils, and a legacy of passion. 

2019 was a fabulous year for Napa Valley. Wine Spectator awarded this year a 97-point score, and Vinous Media gave it 96 points saying that "The 2019 Napa Valley Cabernets have turned out beautifully. 2019 is a very high-quality vintage of Cabernets that will be easy to drink and enjoy with minimal cellaring. The extra kick of late heat softened the tannins, making the wines a pleasure to taste and drink."

Tasting Notes

96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc. Cassis and blackberries dominate, intertwined with rich dark chocolate, subtle cedar, and an unmistakable whisper of forest floor and dusty, loamy earth. Layered, complex, and unapologetically Napa, this wine captivates with every sip.
