The estate’s vineyards are predominantly planted to Merlot (70%), with smaller portions dedicated to Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, ensuring a perfect balance of power, finesse, and complexity.

The top cuvée, Les Cérisiers, is crafted with around 90% Merlot, offering an elegant yet intense wine that captures the essence of this exceptional terroir. 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. The 2020 Château de Francs Les Cerisiers is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, offering a vibrant mix of red and black fruits like blackcurrants, raspberries, and redcurrants. The wine has a fresh, medium-bodied profile with fine tannins and refreshing acidity, highlighted by subtle earthy notes, sweet spices, and a hint of chocolate. Its slate-like texture and lively finish give it structure and punch, while the fruit remains bright and crunchy. Well-balanced and with great aging potential, this wine is both approachable and complex.

The 2020 Francs les Cerisiers has a pleasing, quite saline nose with ground stone infusing the mainly black fruit. Nice energy conveyed here.
