About the Wine
Since 1814, J. Moreau & Fils has mastered the Chablis terroir, crafting Chardonnay-driven wines known for their elegance, complexity, and perfect balance. Their signature style walks a fine line: fresh yet rich, fruity yet mineral, vibrant when young yet worthy of aging.
Located in the north of Burgundy, in the Yonne department, the appellation extends over some twenty communes bordering the beautiful Serein Valley. Its vineyard benefits from an exceptional and highly envied geological location.
This cuvée, named Gloire de Chablis after the sacred relics of Saint Martin once housed in the ancient Monastery of St-Loup, captures the essence of Chablis in every sip—intense, refined, and deeply expressive of its origins.
2023 delivered near-perfect growing conditions in Burgundy. A warm summer with cool nights, balanced rainfall, and an early harvest produced white wines with brilliant energy and poise. Expect crisp citrus, delicate white fruit, and floral notes wrapped in a clean, mineral finish.
Tasting Notes
100% Chardonnay.
Beautiful pale gold color with green highlights. Fresh, lively, and mineral, the nose opens with intense aromas of white-fleshed fruits, citrus, white flowers like acacia, green apple, and spices. On the palate, the wine is perfectly refined, with a unique and easily recognizable personality.
Ideally, serve at a temperature between approximately 12 and 14°C.
