Perched on the green slopes that overlook the shimmering Bay of Biscay, Masua Txakoli captures the soul of Spain’s Basque Country in every glass.

Masua crafts its wines in Arabako Txakolina (Txakoli de Álava), a tiny appellation tucked within the province of Álava. Here, vineyards thrive under the cool Atlantic breeze and the soft northern light, producing whites that are electric, racy, and full of life — wines that seem to hum with the rhythm of the ocean.

True to Basque tradition, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts, preserving the purity of the fruit and the whisper of the land. The wine then rests briefly — about two months — on its lees without bâtonnage, allowing just enough texture to balance its vibrant acidity. The result is a wine that feels alive: bright, saline, and effortlessly refreshing.

Its pale green hue hints at what’s to come — a rush of sea-salted air, the crisp scent of green apples and freshly cut plums, and that unmistakable coastal freshness that defines the region.

A blend of 80 % Hondarrabi Zuri and 20% Petit Courbú grapes.
