About the Wine

Nestled in the heart of Trentino, Italy, Cavit has been crafting extraordinary wines since 1950, when visionary vinegrowers united to celebrate their remarkable terroir. Today, this pioneering co-operative represents over 5,000 grape growers and stands as a beacon of Italian winemaking excellence, seamlessly blending 70 years of tradition with cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices.

The Altemasi Rosé Brut Trentodoc is born from Trentino's finest hillside vineyards, perched between 450-750 meters above sea level, where dramatic temperature fluctuations preserve the crisp acidity essential to world-class sparkling wine. Hand-harvested Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from select sites around Trento, the Valley of the Lakes, and the Brentonico plateau undergo the revered Metodo Classico process—the same traditional method used in Champagne. The Pinot Noir receives a delicate "submerged cap" maceration to achieve its signature pale pink hue, before the wine rests on its lees for a minimum of 24 months, developing extraordinary complexity and elegance.

This Trentodoc sparkling wine embodies the soul of Alpine winemaking—a pale pink masterpiece with copper highlights and persistent, creamy bubbles that speaks to both craftsmanship and terroir.

Aging: Traditional ageing on the lees for at least 24 months.
ABV: 12.5%

Tasting Notes

Pale pink in colour with copper hues, creamy white foam, fine, persistent perlage. Complex, fruity nose reminiscent of ripe cherry, blackcurrant and red apple. Rich, well-balanced palate, with highly persistent aftertaste.

Critical Reviews

Pale old rose colour with persistent mousse. Red currant and white peach on the nose, followed by citrus notes. Juicy on the palate, vibrant acidity, subtly salty, mouthwatering, medium-long finish. ~91 Falstaff
