About the Wine
This Crémant de Loire uses the exact same traditional method as Champagne (think $$$ like Dom Pérignon and Krug)—the same process, the same hand-harvested grapes, the same ancient techniques that create liquid perfection. But here's the kicker: while those famous Champagne houses charge you much more for their fancy labels, this Loire beauty delivers similar mind-blowing quality at less than a fraction!
Stop paying Champagne prices when you can get similar quality in Cremant. Start drinking smarter.
Château de Montfort isit’s a slice of French history. Perched on a limestone plateau overlooking the Loire River, this 16th-century estate has been crafting wines for generations. The 75 acres of vineyards, all within the Vouvray and Touraine regions, are a true reflection of the estate’s passion for winemaking.
The vines at Château de Montfort are special. They’ve been growing in the same calcareous and clay-rich soils for an average of 45 years, giving the grapes a depth of flavor that’s hard to beat. Located in the villages of Noizay, Chancay, and Nazelle Négron, these vines soak up the unique climate of the Loire, creating wines with a distinct minerality and elegance.
Tasting Notes
90% Cabernet Franc, 10% Chenin Blanc. Bright pink. Fresh aromas of white red fresh fruits. Harmonious palate with a nice acidity and fineness.
Critical Reviews
Cabernet franc (90 percent) and chenin blanc (10 percent) are pressed together and co-fermented in tank for this rich, red-fruited rosé. Its time on the lees has imparted savory notes of hazelnut and brioche, while flavors of Bing cherry, strawberry tops and pomegranate bring freshness. ~91 points Top 100 Best Buys, Wine & Spirits
