2011 San Polino Brunello di Montalcino

Reviews

Fragrant blue flower, ripe berry, scorched earth and a whiff of new leather unfold in the glass. The big, chewy palate offers juicy black cherry, ground pepper, clove, star anise and a hint of game framed in youthfully austere, teeth coating tannins. Drink after 2021. ~92pts, WE

A 2011 with plenty of ripe fruit and spices. Chocolate-covered-cherry character too. Lovely pure fruit here. Full-bodied, chewy, round and savory. Better in 2018. ~92pts, JS
