About the Wine

Back in the swinging 60s, the Muzard estate was born, thanks to Lucien Muzard's vision. With his warm smile and strong values, he passed on the importance of hard work and loyalty to his sons. Claude joined him in 1987, followed by Herve three years later. Their roots were nurtured under their father's guidance and further cultivated at the Lycee Viticole de Beaune. Practical training at Cos Bellefond and Domaine Prieur solidified their loyalty to Santenay's land. Today, the estate's focus has shifted from bulk sales to bottling, with new techniques and innovations. Capucine, Claude's daughter, also joined the journey in 2019.

In 1993, a commitment to quality emerged. The Muzard family uprooted generous yet ordinary vines, replacing them with varieties that promise exceptional quality in smaller quantities. The soil became their canvas, where they carefully balanced each element to nurture the vines. Embracing organic practices, they reintroduced trees and hedges to promote biodiversity and create a thriving ecosystem.
