The 2014 Farella Vineyard Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is alive and ever-evolving, “telling a story” of the site and personality of the vineyard. Based out of Coombsville, Farella is a family owned vineyard and winery that has been producing wines with purity and virtue since 1985. The family run estate is best known for planting the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the Coombsville-Napa Valley AVA. Their mission is to create age-worthy wines that reflect the nuance and character of Coombsville, while emphasizing balance to ensure their place at the dinner table. Tasting Notes: A classic Farella Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, fresh plum, underlined with a dried herbal and earthen note. Medium-Full bodied with layers of complexity. Smooth and round up front; a density of flavor and a vibrant mid palate that dances on your tongue. Softly mouth coating with a balanced finish that lingers on.

Reviews

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep purple-black and scented of warm black berries and black currants with hints of espresso, tree bark, cumin seed and fenugreek plus Provence herbs and tar. Medium to full-bodied, it is muscular with firm, chewy tannins, lovely freshness and good length. ~91RP
