This amazing Syrah created by Winemaker, Wine Lover, and Restaurateur Seth Kunin will completely amaze your palate. 

Born in the big apple, Seth moved to California to pursue his dream of planting typical grape varieties of the Rhône Valley. In 1998 he founded Kunin Wines, a small project with the highest quality wines, made with grapes from the best vineyards in Central California, focusing on varieties like Syrah, Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Zinfandel, Grenache, and Mourvedre.

Kunin Wines are the result of the love, passion, and personality of Seth, his wife Magan, and their daughter Phoebe. "When you open a bottle, you can be assured from vineyard to glass, very little has been done to alter the purity of the fruit or its natural terroir," Seth says.

Kunin Syrah Alisos Vineyard comes from one of the best Single Vineyards in the entire appellation. The Alisos Vineyard in Los Alamos Valley, an AVA in California's spectacular Wine Region, Santa Barbara. With soils composed of schist, sand, arsenic gravel, and limestone and with cool weather, this place is a paradise for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rhône varieties. 

Aging: 10 months in French and American oak, 30% new 

Tasting Notes:

100% Syrah. Aromas of dark fruits and licorice with notes of smoked meat. On the palate, elegant with fresh and soft tannins. Long finish. Pair this wine with BBQ, grilled meat and vegetables, Hamburgers.

Critical Reviews

The 2014 Syrah Alisos Vineyard is another terrific wine from Seth Kunin. There is lovely depth to the red and purplish berry fruit, with hints of leather and licorice that add nuance. The Syrah was done with fully destemmed fruit, which seems to bring out the purity of the fruit while giving the wine an attractive, forward feel. ~90 Vinous (Antonio Galloni)
