About the Wine

The Santa Cruz Mountains are responsible for producing some of the best fruit in California, and yet only a handful of producers have really received recognition. This is great for consumers in the know because prices are still relatively low. With names like Ridge and Mount Eden becoming more popular by the day, it is only a matter of time before this great secret is out. You have the opportunity here to take advantage of an extremely small producer making wine out of grapes grown in the Santa Cruz Mountains at a price that certainly won't last too long.

Apriori is the fruit of a collaboration between Patrice Breton & Georges Sabongui, two very passionate, focused, and driven vintners who have been friends since high school. Both Patrice & Georges enjoyed successful careers in the technology industry before dedicating their attention to the craft of wine. Legendary winemaker Philippe Melka joined the production team as a consultant in Fall 2015. Philippe is well known throughout the world, having worked for such esteemed estates as Château Pétrus, Château Haut-Brion, Bryant Family, and Dominus Estate.

Aging: 10 Months in Neutral French Oak
