Reviews

Brimming with sour-cherry, cranberry and floral aromas on the nose, this is a vibrant and racy mencía with polished tannins and acidity and a long, star-bright mineral finish. Drink or hold. ~93pts, JS

The straightforward red 2015 Casar is pure Mencía that is fruit driven and with the creaminess of some time in oak containers of different sizes. The palate was medium-bodied with some fine-grained, slightly dusty tannins and pleasant flavors. One for the table. 33,345 bottles produced. ~ 90pts, WA
