About the Wine
Its vineyard is nestled in the village of Catusseau in the heart of the famous appellation, Pomerol in right bank Bordeaux. The vineyards Chateau La Commanderie boasts an exquisite terroir with a total of six hectares. In addition to being sustainably farmed, it is surrounded by world-famous viticulturists, which has ensured excellent condition of the Chateau La Commanderie vines year after year. The Esprit de la Comanderie is the second wine of the estate, offering a taste of the exceptional terroir of Pomerol at a fraction of the cost of its neighbors.
2015 is an extremely dry vintage with Mother Nature smiling down at exactly the right moment. Bringing rains and leading to an immaculate harvest of ripe and lush reds. 2015 earned a vintage rating of 94 points from Wine Spectator.
Tasting Notes: Red Wine. This is a complex wine that offers firm tannins and rich fruit and a delicately floral nose. It has weight, density, and a strong sense of ripeness. With balance and depth, it’s a wine with good aging potential.
