About the Wine
The 2015 Ladera Malbec is sourced exclusively from the estate vineyard on Howell Mountain. This historic vineyard ranges in elevation from 1,600 to 1,800 feet and sits above the typical fog line receiving longer sun exposure throughout the growing season. The abundant sunshine, along with distinctive red, volcanic and mineral rich soils allows the grapes to achieve full physiological ripeness, producing ripe, flavorful wines with exceptional structure and great aging potential.

Aged in 80% new French oak barrels for 22 months.
Winemaker Tasting Notes
Opaque purple in color, the 2015 Ladera Malbec reveals intense aromas of ripe blackberry, black currant and dark chocolate, complemented with notes of mocha and clove spice. The powerful palate offers an abundance of black fruits, rich texture and mouth-coating tannins that linger through the finish.
