About the Wine

You are not going to want to miss out on this extremely small production wine. The Cordella estate is run by Maddalena Cordella, who although has been growing grapes on-site since 1998, started producing her own wine in 2006. Currently, the house is only producing wine from just over 20 acres. The unique soils at her estate, allow Maddalena to produce wines with great depth and energy. Maddelena produces her wine with an eye towards the future. The winery uses water conservation techniques and all of her grapes are grown organically. With just 20 acres of production area, you can rest assured that every vine is given individual care and attention. The entire vineyard is tended to by hand, and during harvest, only the best bunches are selected to be brought into the winery. Once in the winery, only native yeasts are used for fermentation.

Tasting Notes

 Elegant, silky, and refined – this Baby Brunello swirls in an exotic mixture of raspberries, cherries, and baking spice, all touched with a bit of dustiness. Juicy acidity and silken-smooth tannins in the mouth make this a real pleasure to drink.

Critical Reviews

Gently perfumed with lavender, cedar, and ripe blackberries. It's full-bodied and smooth with ripe tannins. Just the right amount of chewiness. Lovely chocolate and hazelnut notes on the finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink after 2024. ~95 James Suckling
