About the Wine

Novy Winery was founded by Adam Lee and his wife Dianna Novy. Adam Lee is a legend in the world of wine, he is recognized as one of the best winemakers in California. Adam fell in love with the industry when he was working at Austin Wine & Spirits as a wine buyer. After much knowledge gained and having tasted many of the best wines in the world, Adam decided to establish Siduri Wines in 1994, where he produced the first Pinot Noir from the Rose Vineyard in Anderson Valley. Siduri is a winery that has gained cult status due to the high-quality, premium, award-winning wines that this estate has been producing for almost 30 years.

Founded in 1998 in Sonoma, Novy is arguably the fun little brother of Siduri Winery. While Siduri is recognized worldwide for producing some of the best and most serious Pinot Noirs in the world; instead, at Novy Winery, Adam and Dianna play with different grape varieties like Syrah and Zinfandel, to produce fun, vibrant and unique wines. “Novy,” (which translates from Czechoslovakian as new) in addition to being Dianna's family name, is the mantra of this winery: “Producing rare and new wines from new vineyards.”

Since its inception, Novy's wines have been recognized by some of the best wine critics in the world. Wine Spectator has featured them among the “Top 100 wines of the year” on different occasions.

Today, Novy focuses on producing wines inspired by Zinfandels and Rhone, including expressions from individual vineyards from some of Sonoma's most renowned sites. The wines are produced with minimal intervention, without filtering or clarifying; this to achieve the maximum expression of the terroir.

2016 was an outstanding year for the Russian River Valley. Wine Spectator blessed this year with a 95-point review, stating that the wines are "showing polish and plush textures."

2016 Novy Family Winery Limerick Lane Vineyard Zinfandel Russian River Valley comes from the Limerick Lane Vineyard, a magical 30-acre vineyard located in the northeast of Sonoma's County Russian River Valley, where world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel wines are being produced. 

This 100% Zinfandel it's an outstanding wine and is the perfect wine for foodies. Pair it with BBQ, turkey, beef stew, or a grilled burger. The best way to enjoy this wine is at a slightly chilled temperature.

The 2016 Zinfandel Limerick Lane Vineyard is dark, powerful, and virile, as wines from this site tend to be. Bright acids and firm tannins are attractive complements to the wine's intense personality. Black cherry, lavender, menthol, and gravel notes all run through this potent, deep Zinfandel. ~93 Vinous Media
