About The Wine

Opolo Vineyards has been the standard bearer of Paso Robles Zinfandel for more than two decades — founded in 1999 by Rick Quinn and David Nichols on a love of wine and winemaking, and renowned for its Mountain Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Summit Creek line is their approachable-style flagship, and this Zinfandel is the epitome of regional expression: Zinfandel is Paso's heritage variety, with roots in these hills dating back to the mid-1800s.

The result: bright bramble fruit aromas with vanilla spice and sweet hickory. The mouthfeel is soft, juicy, and integrated — plush flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and black cherry. Supple textures, energetic acidity, and toasted oak linger on a perfectly rounded finish.

Jammy and generous, with lively raspberry and cherry splashing across the palate, a dusty mix of savory spice and grilled herbs keeping it playful. Concentrated dark fruit, blackberry, mocha, and smoky pepper — yet it retains a sense of balance that makes it dangerous to pour a second glass.
