Alessio Planeta, head of Planeta, has been named "Winemaker of the Year" worldwide by the prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine through their "Wine Star Awards" in 2023. 

The family history of this Sicilian Estate goes back for more than 5 centuries, where in such a closed and traditional culture, the Planeta family is not afraid to innovate and modernize. Tasting Notes

100% Fiano. A single-variety Fiano from lime-chalk soils which contribute to the enhancement of the aromatic markers of Mediterranean macchia owned by this vine. Thus, between broom flowers and thyme, the delicate aromas of chamomile, hay and mandarin can also be savored. A mineral palate with vibrantly savory traces which quiver and quench. Then the rhythm changes to become slower and more harmonious, an invitation to sip this outstanding white wine with the correct quietude enjoying its every change of tone. The finish presents a silky tactile sensation with a refined aftertaste of ripe apricot, of almond flowers and basil flowers.

Alluring scents of white and yellow flower, stone fruit and a whiff of Mediterranean herb take center stage on this silky, savory wine.
