THE PRODUCER
Snow Ridge
Snow Ridge Wines is a Canadian producer specializing in cold-climate wines from the Niagara Peninsula, with a particular focus on Icewine made from grapes naturally frozen on the vine during the winter.
The winery produces both traditional table wines and small-format Icewines, including Vidal, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its Icewines are made from grapes harvested in the depths of winter, typically when temperatures reach around -10°C to -13°C, concentrating the sugars and flavors while preserving vibrant acidity. Snow Ridge’s lineup showcases the distinctive character of Niagara’s cold climate, with lush fruit, pronounced sweetness, and refreshing acidity defining the style.
