The Schrader name is synonymous with outstanding, high-scoring Napa Valley Cabernet that is very limited and very expensive. Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown has made so many 100 pt and near perfect wines, we've lost count.
- A near perfect, 98pt vintage, WA
- A benchmark Napa Cabernet that is the envy of every collector
Winemaker notes: The wine shows the wonderful intense fruit and aromatic spice qualities of clone 6 so beautifully. The 2017 bottling of this wine is balanced and lush with notes of black cherry and raspberry. On the palate the wine has a savory element of dried herbs mixed with black licorice. One of the more structured wines in the Schrader portfolio, the tannins are present but integrated on the long and alluring finish.

About the Winery
There is not much to be said about Schrader that hasn't already made headlines. Fred Schrader, an art and antiquity trader, attended the Napa Valley wine auction in the late 90's. He fell in love with Napa and then met Andy Beckstoffer and Thomas Rivers Brown. From that time, they sourced outstanding fruit from the To Kalon vineyard and set the wine world ablaze with some of the most sought after, collectable and delicious Napa Valley Cabernets ever created.
A barrel sample, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard T6 features stewed plums, spice box, crème de cassis and unsmoked cigars with touches of Christmas cake and sandalwood. The palate is medium to full-bodied and super spicy in the mouth with chewy tannins and a very long finish.~ 94-96 WA
Loads of blackberry and blueberry aromas with hints of fresh mushrooms. Full and layered with lots of dark fruit and fine tannins. ~95-96JS
