About the Wine

Bodegas Vina Vilano was founded in 1957 by the grandparents and parents of the current members, who contributed with their centenary vineyards to give shape to a dream. Since its inception, Vina Vilano has been committed to continuous improvement. The Estate is currently in a process of expansion, focused on a vision for the future, based on effort, work, and above all the knowledge and passion for grapes, the wine, and Ribera of the Duero. The combination of vineyards passed down from generation to generation, a deep knowledge of winemaking, and a highly-skilled team, work in unison to create a unique expression of Ribero del Duero wines. Rosado, Tinto Joven, Roble, Crianza, Reserva, and Signature wines are part of the impressive Vilano portfolio. 

The 2018 Bodegas Vina Vilano Roble is made from a selection of vines 10 years or older, handpicked at peak ripeness from Pedrosa de Duero. Maceration in stainless steel for 8-10 days at a controlled temperature of 25-28 ºC. Aged for 3 months in American oak barrel and 3 months in the bottle.

Aging: 3 months in American Oak Barrels

Tasting Notes: Red Wine. 100% Tempranillo. Red cherry with a ruby rim, and medium-to-high intensity. Floral notes, aromas of ripe wood berries, and hints of vanilla and licorice. Rounded, structured, and persistent in the mouth. Very harmonic wine.
