About the Wine
Bodegas Zuazo Gaston is a family producer with a history stretching back to 1850. Recently, the winery expanded from Rioja into Ribera del Duero with the acquisition of a well regarded producer, Teofilo Reyes.
The vines that form the structure of this wine sit at over 2400 feet above the valley and are more than 30 years old. You would be right to expect a more expensive wine. And, this is where the value of a BHW direct import comes into play. Compare this wine with others you'll find at grocery store for $30!
If you've traveled in Spain, you have likely seen this brand, as it's one of the best distributed brands among restaurants.
