About the wine
Founded in 1925, Caves de Rasteau was the first producer to call the Rasteau appellation home. Located in the heart of the southern Rhône Valley, this terroir benefits from complex soil diversity and a precise location that provides an ideal environment perfect for wine cultivation. Plunging their roots in the stony hills of the Southern Rhône Valley, the robust vines of the Rasteau vineyards ripened in the gentle heat and produce wines that are both powerful and elegant. The 2016 Cave de Rasteau La Domeliere is a perfect wine for Chateauneuf-du-Pape lovers or anyone looking for a jaw-dropping value.
Tasting Notes
Red Wine. 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre. The 2015 La Domeliere shows bright raspberry, blueberry, fresh plum, cinnamon, olive, and sage. this medium-plus bodied pleasure finishes with fine tannins and plush red fruit.
