About the Wine
Chateau Bellevue d’Espy is a collaborative effort between the Rivière family and the Anglade family. Two right bank specialists with a long-standing history in the region who have demonstrated a passion for wine and a consistent effort to produce quality right bank, Bordeaux.
Since 1875, the Rivière family has developed their estates in the purest tradition of Bordeaux wines. Concerned about the wine quality, the vines are grown with the greatest respect for their soil and terroir. The perfect blending of grape varieties gives the wines character, elegance, and an authentic style. Jean-Pierre and Philippe Rivière have built a wide variety of Bordeaux, but none stand out more than Chateau Bellevue d’Espy!
Tasting Notes: 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Deep red color with purple rim. The nose is dominated by red fruits, dried apricots, plums, licorice, and spiced cherries. A fruity supple wine with a good structure.
