The 2018 Tarot Napa Cabernet from the team at Secret Indulgence comes from select sites in Rutherford, St Helena, and Oak Knoll. Head winemaker Stephanie Putnam carries an impressive resume having earned her degree in Enology from UC Davis before becoming the head winemaker of the Hess Collection and VP of winemaking at Far Niente.

84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. 

The 2018 Tarot Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon draws you into the glass. Rich mulberry in color, you are enticed with notes of dried black currant, black plums, bramble, and a hint of star anise on the nose. As you begin to taste the beautifully balanced elixir, you encounter notes of dried bing cherry, cassis, cacao nibs, and hints of slate. From the elegant feminine aspect at the front of your palate to the long lingering finish, you will stay captivated by the gentle but well-structured tannins that float across your palate.

Composed of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tarot offers notes of minted black cherries, blackcurrant pastilles, and redcurrant jelly with hints of potpourri, fallen leaves, and cedar chest. The full-bodied palate is chock-full of black fruit preserves with loads of spicy sparks and a firm, grainy texture, finishing long with a display of invigorating sparks. 1,459 cases were made. ~91 Wine Advocate
