About the Wine
Tenuta di Trecciano is a small producer located near Siena, Italy. The winery produces Super Tuscan Blends from international varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. But, like much of Tuscany, the real star is the Sangiovese. This wine is Sangiovese in purezza, meaning there is no oak influence in the wine. A perfect wine to lightly chill and serve with any pizza, pasta, or dish with tomatoes.
Trecciano oversees 50 acres of vineyards. The vines find in the soil of the Montagnola Senese the ideal environment to best express their characteristics, and the surrounding hills protect the vineyards from extreme climatic conditions. The cellar of Trecciano succeeds in perfectly combining the respect for the antique traditions with the requirements of the modern wine-making techniques.
Aging: 7 Months in 600L Slovenian Oak Casks.
Tasting Notes: Red Wine. Deep ruby with violet hues. Intense and fruity with hints of strawberry, ripe black cherry, and sweet kirsch. Simple, easy to drink, and enjoyable with light tannins. Excellent with simple meat dishes and pasta.
