About the Wine
Hidden just 3 miles from legendary Saint-Émilion and Pomerol lies Fronsac's best-kept secret: Château Francs Magnus.
While collectors chase after $3,000 bottles of Pétrus and Cheval Blanc, savvy wine lovers are discovering Fronsac's extraordinary value proposition. You get the same world-class Right Bank terroir, the same perfect climate, the same winemaking excellence—at a fraction of the price.
This is where art meets wine in the most spectacular way. Since 2011, artist-winemaker Arnaud Roux-Oulié has transformed this 32-acre limestone plateau into his canvas. Each vintage tells a story, each label is a masterpiece, each bottle bridges the gap between visual art and liquid poetry. When you're not just a winemaker but a true artist, magic happens in every bottle.
The dream team behind the scenes? Legendary consultants Stéphane Derenoncourt and Hannah Fiegenschuh—the same experts crafting some of Bordeaux's most celebrated wines. When these names are on your team, you know you're holding something extraordinary.
Stéphane Derenoncourt consults for over 140 wineries globally, including nine Bordeaux classified growths, such as Château Pavie-Macquin, Château Canon-la-Gaffelière, and Château Clos Fourtet. His expertise extends to top estates in regions like Lebanon, Syria, and Tuscany. Known for enhancing terroir expression, Derenoncourt’s work delivers wines that truly reflect their origins, offering exceptional quality in every bottle.
"Our goal is not only to produce a great wine but also to make you discover the beauty and richness of our terroir," says Arnaud.
The result? Premium Right Bank quality without the premium price tag. This is your chance to taste tomorrow's cult wine at today's insider prices.
Tasting Notes
90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc Red wine. Deep color. Aromas of black fruit notes. The finish is spicy and minty with intensity and freshness. Pair this wine with beef stew, grilled hamburger, mature cheeses, or chocolate dessert!
Reviews
The nose offers notes of small wild fruits, lilies and small notes of crushed raspberries associated with slight toasted hints, nutmeg and a very discreet hint of Cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a juicy / slight acidulous frame, a good definition, tension as well as a good guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy cassis, pulpy / juicy blackberry and small notes of pulpy / juicy small red fruits associated with touches of lily, violet as well as fine hints of nutmeg and ripe almond. Good length. ~90 VertdeVin
