Belonging to the Matton-Farnet family for 80 years, Château Minuty is a family-run wine estate located in southern France’s Provence region, overlooking the Saint-Tropez peninsula. Beautiful places don't always beget beautiful wines, but in Minuty's case, we are lucky enough that it does.
Chateau de Minuty was one of just 23 estates to receive Cru Classé status in 1955. The Cru Classé status is similar to that of Bordeaux, with a bit of influence from the cru status of Burgundy. Individual estates receive the recognition but there is an in-depth study on the terroir, and there are production requirements as well. The estate must produce red, white, and rose, as well as bottle all of the wine at the estate.
