Just over 4 miles from the French border, there's a picturesque town called Hondarribia. Within this magical place, you will find Hiruzta, a family winery that began with the dream of Asensio, Txarli, and Angel Rekalde back in 2012. The vineyard is composed of more than 27 acres, and it's planted with autochthonous grapes from the region like Hondarrabi Beltza, Gros Manseng, and the great queen: Hondarrabi Zuri.

Txakolina is an emblematic wine from the Basque Country, which is made mainly with the Hondarrabi Zuri grape, this rare and unique grape is what makes this wine so special. Hiruzta has gained a worldwide high reputation for the production of this wine, and thanks to the outstanding quality of their Txakolis, they've managed to position this exotic, amazing wine on the world map again.

Tasting Notes: 100% Hondarrabi Zuri. Very fine bubbles of carbon dioxide, typical of this type of txakoli. Intense aromas of white fruits like pear and apple, citrus fruits like grapefruit, and tropical fruits like pineapple and passion fruit appear on the nose. On the palate, it is very balanced and fresh, with a certain sensation of a spicy needle on the tongue and very integrated acidity. Long and aromatic finish. Pair this wine with appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, slightly cured cheeses, shellfish, fish, rice, and legumes.
