About the Wine
Château Grand Village is the Guinaudeau family’s home estate in Mouillac, just north of Fronsac. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because the same family crafts one of Bordeaux’s most coveted and expensive wines: Château Lafleur in Pomerol, where bottles trade at $1,000+.
Grand Village delivers that same meticulous attention — low yields, hand-harvesting, ruthless sorting — at a fraction of the price.
The vineyards here rest on clay-limestone soils rich in asteria limestone, planted to classic Right Bank varieties. The Guinaudeaus’ obsession with detail shows in every step: precision canopy management, parcel-by-parcel vinification, and élevage in French oak barrels that balance purity with structure.
In 2002, Jacques and Sylvie’s son Baptiste and his partner Julie joined the team, bringing fresh ideas and passion. Together, they've raised the bar at Grand Village, treating it with the same care as Château Lafleur.
If you want to experience the Guinaudeau family's winemaking brilliance without the high price tag of Château Lafleur, Grand Village is your go-to. This wine punches well above its weight, offering an exciting taste of Bordeaux’s Right Bank.

Reviews
Intense depth of fruit with mangoes, apples, white peaches and apple blossom with some salt and flint undertones. It’s medium- to full-bodied, fresh and vivid with a long and flavorful finish. 73% sauvignon blanc and 27% semillon. Drink or hold. ~94 James Suckling
Touch of grass, pink grapefruit and citrus followed by a stonier steel and lemongrass character. Showing clarity and energy, this is entirely fermented and aged in barrel, around 70% new oak, and is a gorgeous wine, easily one of the ‘value’ wines of the vintage in Bordeaux. 2021 was the first year in the new white cellar. Harvest September 7 to 13. Single point upgrade.~92 Jane Anson
Waxy lemons, white peach, and pear, with a touch of orange blossom hit the spot on the nose and on the juicy, sweet, crisp, palate with all of its mango, orange rind, lemon meringue, green apple, and yellow plums. The wine truly lingers, with its sweet yellow citrus long after the wine has left your glass. This blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc and 27% Semillon is ready to go. Drink from 2022-2030. ~92 The Wine Cellar Insider
Light greenish-yellow, silver reflections. Fresh white pear, delicate blossom honey, a touch of vanilla and lemon zest. Lean and racy, crisp green apple, mineral, fine salty finish. ~90 Falstaff
