About the Wine
Domaine Pere et Fils is one of our favorite under-the-radar producers of Burgundy. This is a family that, simply put, makes great Burgundy. The Poulleau family has crafted quality Burgundy since the 1960s. Established by husband and wife Michel and Jacqueline, their son Thierry and his wife Florence have since taken the reins. Over 90% of the wine they produce is made from Pinot Noir grown throughout Burgundy. They’re experts at producing reds that reflect the terroir from the regions they’re grown in.
Aloxe-Corton is a prestigious wine appellation in Burgundy. It is known for its exceptional red wines made from Pinot Noir grapes. The region is classified as a Grand Cru, signifying its highest quality. Aloxe-Corton wines are elegant, complex, and age beautifully. The vineyards benefit from favorable terroir, including limestone soils and a cool climate. This appellation is highly regarded and sought after by wine lovers worldwide.
