When Markus Molitor took over his family estate in the 1980s, he didn’t just inherit vines—he inherited a legacy. As the eighth generation of his family to helm the winery, Markus set out with a bold mission: to restore the Mosel Riesling to its rightful golden age.

Markus Molitor, known for his uncompromising approach to winemaking, has once again demonstrated his mastery with this bottling. The vineyard, whose name translates to "spice garden," is a geological marvel. Its south- to southeast-facing slopes are composed of weathered volcanic rhyolite and stone-rich soils, creating a unique terroir that imparts an unmistakable piquancy and elegance to the wine.
