~93 Luca Maroni, One of Luca Maroni's "Best Wines of the Year"
A delicate sensory profile, it displays notes of plums, red plums, green tea leaves, cut grass, and green mandarins. Medium body, elegant, lightly extracted tannins, and a classic, harmonious finish that offers great pleasure. Best from 2027. ~ 93 WinesCritic.com
Deep and succulent, offering aromas of ripe cherries, blueberries, chocolate, iodine and a hint of balsamic. Full-bodied with ripe yet well-defined tannins that push structure and depth. The finish is smooth, with a savory lift. Drink or hold. ~ 92 James Suckling
As a Tuscan brand, Vino Nobile has had difficulty in maintaining the elite status it gained after being declared one of the country’s first four DOCG-designated appellations in 1980. Today, that drop is reflected in its overall price and quality, more good wines than great ones. This one is a quite affordable and a good one – medium body with tart blackberry flavors, some barrel notes and Sangioivese’s signature raspy tannins. ~90 Wine Review OnlineMatt shimmering ruby colour with garnet reflections. Pronounced and powerful on the nose, with very ripe cherry notes and aromas of liquorice, leather and tobacco. In contrast, fresher on the palate with clear fruit, then somewhat drying, with a dark chocolate finish. ~ 90 Falstaff

THE PRODUCER
Fattoria della Talosa
Fattoria della Talosa is a historic winery in Montepulciano, Tuscany, dedicated to the tradition and character of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Owned by the Jacorossi family since 1972, the estate spans 33 hectares and focuses primarily on Sangiovese, producing wines that reflect the distinctive character of the region.
One of Talosa’s greatest treasures is its historic cellar, built in the 1500s beneath two of Montepulciano’s oldest palaces, where its Vino Nobile ages in large oak barrels. Combining centuries-old surroundings with a continued pursuit of quality, Talosa captures the timeless elegance and authentic spirit of Tuscan winemaking.
