About The Wine

β€œOne of my favorite wineries, Beau Vigne’s Vineyard sits at a high elevation in the southern Napa Valley, back Soda Canyon Road, overlooking the Pritchard Hill Gap as well as the Stagecoach Vineyard. The AVA for these wines is Atlas Peak and the soils are all volcanic origin. This winery is currently on a qualitative roll.” ~Robert Parker

Renowned winemakerΒ Julien Fayard uses his expertiseΒ to produce wines that express pure, terroir-driven specificities and characteristics. Julien gained his knowledge and defined his core winemaking style from working at grand Chateaux in France such asΒ Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte.

Beau Vigne flies under the radar as a β€œhidden gem” and small boutique winery producing only a few thousand cases a year. Fans and critics alike flock toΒ the winery forΒ its outstanding wines and genuine hospitality including famed criticΒ Robert Parker who refers to Beau Vigne as β€œone of my favorite wineries.”

HERO is a multi-vineyard / multi-AVA blend with one sole focus. β€˜Cabernet Sauvignon sites that have chalky soils’ This focus adds a memorable concentration and minerality to the wine. Its vineyards have that benefit from cool mornings and warm, sunny afternoons. Sun orientations that optimize the expression of the variety. Vineyard sites In Napa Valley & Sonoma Valley that vary from 150 to 2000 feet above sea level.

Beau Vigne’s wines are highly esteemed and cherished among some of the world’s most important winemakers, and they have achievedΒ numerous high-accolades. Today, they are consideredΒ among Napa Valley’s most acclaimed wines.

The 2023 Napa Valley vintage isn’t just another great year – it’s the year that will be etched in history. Wine experts are calling it "the vintage of a lifetime," and for good reason. The perfect blend of cool temperatures, morning fog, and balanced sunlight created conditions so exceptional that they’re being compared to Bordeaux's iconic 1961 vintage. As The Wine Independent put it, 2023 is "a winemaker's dream in terms of wine style." Wine Bible author Karen MacNeil calls it "one of the most phenomenal vintages ever in Napa Valley." This is Napa at its finest, with wines of depth, power, and elegance that will be the talk of the wine world for decades to come.

THE PRODUCER

Beau Vigne

Established in 2002, Beau Vigneβ€”French for "beautiful vineyard"β€”is a boutique winery nestled within Napa Valley's esteemed Atlas Peak appellation. Perched at 1,400 feet, the estate's prized vineyard flourishes in volcanic soils, yielding bold and luscious Cabernet Sauvignon that captures the essence of mountain-grown fruit. Over the years, Beau Vigne has garnered acclaim for its commitment to crafting influential luxury wines, with renowned winemakers such as Kirk Venge and Julien Fayard contributing their expertise. The winery's portfolio also includes prestigious red blends, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, sourced from Napa Valley's top vineyards. Visitors can experience these exceptional wines at the Maison Fayard tasting room, located at 1408 2nd Street in downtown Napa.
