Bandol is Provence's heavyweight — the one appellation where rose trades elegance for structure, built on Mourvedre's broad shoulders and taut spine.

Most Bandol rose comes from steep terraced vineyards above the Mediterranean, where old vines dig into limestone and the wine carries weight without losing freshness. It's the rose that holds its own at the dinner table.

Domaine Le Galantin's La Cabassonne bottling is AOP Bandol through and through — 50% Mourvedre anchoring the blend, with Cinsault and Grenache rounding out the fruit.

The wine bears the imprint of terroir, pale salmon in the glass, with aromas that lift: nectarine, vineyard peach, dried orange zest, and a subtle spicy edge. The nose is elegant and expressive, the kind that makes you stop and pay attention.

On the palate, it's structured and complex — citrus and red fruit layered over a crisp, refreshing finish. The tree-fruit and citrus aromatics carry through: peach, nectarine, grapefruit, that dried orange zest, with a whisper of spice. This is classic Provencal rose with more to say than most.

Around 5,850 cases produced, but it won't last long once word gets out.
