For nearly a century the name was shipped from Singapore to Veracruz to New York, one of the defining vermouth houses of its era, before production went quiet in the 1970s. The brand was revived in 2016 by a family determined to bottle the original formula exactly as written.

The wine earns its royal name honestly. Chazalettes vermouth was a favorite of the women of the House of Savoy, and Queen Margherita granted the house the right to display the Royal Coat of Arms on its labels and letterhead.
