Nestled in the picturesque vineyards of Moussy, just minutes from the capital of Champagne, Epernay, lies the Domaine José Michel et Fils. This illustrious house, with vineyards dating back to 1847, is one of the oldest winegrowing families in the region. The journey began in the 19th century with Paul Michel, who first harvested grapes and bottled wine in 1912. His pioneering spirit was followed by Raymond Michel, who expanded Champagne production and refined manipulation techniques. The torch was then passed to José Michel in 1955, whose visionary approach and unwavering commitment to quality have shaped the vineyards into what they are today. With the family tradition continuing through three sons and five grandchildren, the legacy lives on.
