About the Winery
If you love Australian wines, you undoubtedly remember the groundswell around the Marquis Phillips brand twenty years ago. The owners, Sarah and Sparky Marquis sold that brand and started MollyDooker in 2006. Once again, the couple experienced meteoric success with a string of 97-100pt ratings from WS and WA. With the fits and starts, expansion and contraction of the Aussie wine market, this brand has consistently cranked out top rated, gulpable wines. The winery pioneered the concept of ‘Sip it Forward’, where a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Mollydooker wines goes back to support the local community, and around the world for those in need.
The grapes were grown on the Rivers Lane in McLaren Vale. Barrel fermented and matured in 82% American and 18% French oak using 55% new and 45% one year old barrels. 16.5% ABV . Residual sugar: 2.8g/L
