Vintage Wine Estates is a winery group that owns many well-regarded wineries including Qupe, Swanson Family, B.R. Cohn, Clos Pegase, Cameron Hughes, and Viansa.
In Sabotage, VWE partnered with winemaker Sean Roney.
Sean studied law but couldn't resist the temptation of the vine. His father was also a winemaker. In only his second vintage, he has two solid 92 point ratings from Wine Advocate. This is a wine to watch. And, with only 1,000 cases produced from an excellent vintage, this is a wine to grab before it's gone. The motto for the winery is Res Ipsa Loquitor, which is a law term meaning “the thing speaks for itself”.
Blend: 83% Cabernet sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot & 1% Malbec
Tasting Notes: Red Wine. Aromatics suggest tobacco, bold black fruit and notes of graphite. On the palate, red, blue and black fruits are balanced by hints of currant, vanilla and mocha. The young tannins will evolve over time and help expand the long finish. Classic Cab, from a classic vintage, at a 30% discount. That's the BHW way!
