About the Winery

Sean Roney studied law but couldn't resist the temptation of the vine. His father was also a winemaker. In only his second vintage, he has two solid 92 point ratings from Wine Advocate. This is a wine to watch. And, with only 2,000 cases produced from an excellent vintage, this is a wine to grab before it's gone. The motto for the winery is Res Ipsa Loquitor, which is a law term meaning “the thing speaks for itself”.

Reviews

A barrel sample and only the second vintage from this new producer, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon with dollops of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Sporting a medium to deep garnet-purple color, it is scented of crème de cassis, prunes and spice cake with hints of dusty soil and cedar. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, chewy frame and a long, spicy finish. ~ 90-92 pts, WA
