"Ramonet's multi-dimensional 1998 Montrachet is certainly one of the stars of the vintage. Its spice, star anise, toasted oak, and mineral-scented nose gives way to a rich, broad, powerful character. Medium to full-bodied, and exhibiting layers of ripe apples, white pears, and stone-like flavors, this is an intense, concentrated, compelling effort. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2010." — Robert Parker, 91-94 pts
