About the Wine

Located in Graves, Vignobles Bernard Réglat has been family owned & operated for 5 generations and have continued to raise the quality of the wines with each and every vintage. The property is HVE certified which highlights their biodiversity and phytosanitary practices. The well-drained, gravel base soils, which give the region its name, found throughout Graves are perfect for the production of high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon. 2009 was a nearly flawless vintage that allowed a modest producer like Bernard Réglat to highlight and showcase this special vintage!

Graves is known as the birthplace for high-quality Bordeaux and today, is home to the widely acclaimed Chateau Haut-Brion. Graves gets its name from the well-drained gravel-based (caillou) soils that litter the region and are ideal for the production of Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot also dominates the vineyards of gravels with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot scattered around the region.

We've made this claim before and here we make it again: Bordeaux produces the greatest value wines in the world. This is one of them.

Tasting Notes: Red Wine. 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. Raspberry, cassis, and black cherry define the nose. The wine is expressed elegantly on the palate with black currant, black cherry, tobacco leaf, cigar box, and a touch of turned earth. If you love aged Bordeaux, this wine is beautiful and impeccably balanced with a refreshing finish.
