About The Wine

Portico Hills Vineyard is located north of the town of Los Alamos. The vineyard is sandy loam soil with some limestone streaks. The site is warmer than nearby Santa Maria and cooler than Santa Ynez.

Wine critic, Jeb Dunnuck spoke about the 2020 vintage in Santa Barbara County stating that " Santa Barbara County is the shining star in California in this vintage, and this is where California wine lovers should focus their attention and wine budget." and stated that "Santa Barbara County had a terrific vintage."

Production Notes: Open top fermentation. Stainless tank aging for 6 months. Neutral French oak for 6 months.
