    About the Wine

The South of France is a paradise, there you will find all life’s pleasures you could dream of: wonderful views, the Mediterranean sea, exciting gastronomy, and delicious and stunning wines! Transport yourself there via this wine.

The 2015 Mas de Lunès 'e6-g' Gres de Montpellier is produced from vines over 35 years old!

Mas de Lunès, located in Aumelas and owned by the Jeanjean family (Chateauneuf top producer) is a charming vineyard placed on a very special and rare geological soil known as e6-g. Mas de Lunès is a paradise. It is completely isolated without the influence of any vineyard or plantation around it. Producing unique wines that show the complete potential of the terroir.

Matthieu Carliez is the winemaker at Mas de Lunès. Matthieu likes to say that he produces “Vins éclatants” translated into English as “Dazzling wines”, and we can agree with that statement!  With Mas de Lunès, you will taste jovial, fruity, refreshing, and beautiful wines. Since the first plantings, the vineyard has been managed organically and since 2013, they have been HEV level 3 certified.

Aumelas is located in the south of France, just over 20 miles from the of city Montpellier. Today, this region is recognized as a wine production area, but it was not always like this. We could say that Vignobles JeanJean, was the one who discovered the great potential this area had to offer to the world!

In addition to producing high-quality wine, exquisite olive oil, you can also find truffle and honey in this vineyard: Pretty much, all the ingredients you need to make an exquisite pairing and have a good time!

Aging: 12 months in used French oak

Tasting Notes: Grenache, Syrah. A fresh and fruity wine. Aromas of black fruit. A leafy hint and lovely vanilla notes. Pair this wine with pasta, or pork in plum sauce.
