2015 Schiavenza Barolo Cerretta

Schiavenza is located in the magical region of Serralunga d'Alba, in the Barolo DOCG. This winery, which began with the brothers Vittorio and Ugo, is currently managed by Luciano Pira. Luciano and Nebbiolo are like synonyms, this brilliant agronomist has been producing some of the most exceptional Nebbiolos from this region.

Schiavenza is made up of more than 24 acres of vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba, plus some acres in Monforte d'Alba, both vineyards are home to excellent quality, top-tier, artisanal red wines. Everything about Schiavenza winery is impressive, the winery radiates the culture of the Piedmont area.

Cerretta's grapes come from vineyards located in the village of Serralunga d'Alba This is an amazing Barolo that Robert Parker described as "the most structured of the various Barolos made by Schiavenza, a producer who specializes in Nebbiolo from Serralunga d'Alba"

2015 was a great year for Piedmont. Wine Spectator blessed this vintage with a 95-point score, and said it resulted in "vibrant Barolos with red fruit flavors, showing balance." If there's value to find in Barolo, this is it!
