About the wine
This wine is a tribute to Boemondo dβAltavilla, son of Roberto il Guiscardo first duke of Puglia, with whom our Ruggero Guarini participated in the war of Palestine called the first crusade and entered Jerusalem in 1099, together to the army of Goffredo di Buglione.Β This pure Primitivo is as powerful and rich in personality as Boemondo, the only Frankish knight who thrilled Anna, the daughter of Alexei I, emperor of Byzantium.
The Duca di Carlo Guarini estate is a long-standing family farm. TheΒ wines come from native Salento vines vinified in red, rosΓ©, and white. All in purity and certified organic, made with competence and sincerity, always looking for the best expression ofΒ the land, respecting the environment and consumers.
Tasting Notes
Β Intense ruby ββred color, on the nose it opens up to intense spicy and fruity tones. On the palate, it is complex, with a good body and elegant.
