About the Wine

Established in 1997, Saxon Brown focuses on small single vineyard botttlings reflecting elegantly structured, well balanced and age worthy wines. The Fighting Brothers Pinot Noir is a blend of three renowned Sonoma Coast vineyards: Gap’s Crown, Roberts Road and Glass House. Individually all three offer ideal Pinot-growing terroir and impeccable farming. Together they produce a wine of extraordinary depth and complexity, displaying the site synergy celebrated in the line of Fighting Brothers vineyard blends. 

Ageing: 18 months in 30% new french oak

Tasting notes: Pale to medium ruby, the 2016 Pinot Noir Fighting Brothers opens with tart cranberries and Bing cherries on the nose with stewed black tea leaves, wild blackberries and underlying potpourri. Light to medium-bodied, it offers intense spicy fruits in the mouth with grainy tannins and great freshness energizing the long, spicy finish.
